Judith works together with Stanford’s Climate and Health Organization to protect our environment and take a stand against climate change.
Education
Judith worked with the faculty instructors of Stanford Medical School’s dermatology block to add curriculum about the public health impacts of climate change. This course material is now standard part of the science of medicine block taught to all future physicians at Stanford.
Senate Bill 260
Judith is working with Stanford’s Climate and Health Organization to promote Senate Bill 260, the Climate Corporate Accountability Act. This bill would require companies that do business in California with yearly revenues of more than $1 billion to publicly disclose their greenhouse gas emissions in a way that is clear, understandable, and easily accessible. Judith authored a petition to ask Stanford’s administration to publicly support SB 260, and is working with the bay area community to push forward this important legislature.
